ATTENTION! STARTING THE 2ND PART OF GIOVANNINI EXPERIMENT I SAW THAT THE PART A WAS OBSERVED WITH THE CHANNEL 2 USING S BAND WHILE X BAND WAS REQUIRING. SO VC02 AND VC04 WERE CONNECTED TO THE WRONG FREQUENCY.

Telescope still slewing during first scan (lost). 3C279 under horizont, last scan on 3C338 with source down. No technical problem.

The X preamplifier broke 24 hours before the observation. It was repaired at our labs and we began the observation 4 hours later (at 18:38:40) All scans on 3C279 were discarded We had a continous formatter problem.

Lots of false alarms abou tape movement and some sources out of HA range. System had only 1 linear polarization (my apologies but 1 of the channels was dead, so we could not make circular)
