Experiment Feedback

Medicina (A.Cattani at Fri May 28 08:31:34 METDST 1999) Success

Effelsberg (A. Kraus at Fri May 28 09:13:27 METDST 1999) Minor failures
Due to problems with the recorder, data was lost from UT 23.37- UT 00.08 and UT 02.25 - UT 02.32 .

Torun (K. Borkowski at Fri May 28 09:20:10 METDST 1999) Success
No known problems.

Westerbork (Tony Foley at Fri May 28 09:22:16 METDST 1999) Minor failures
EMI, paricularly about 3UT and 5UT. At start of observations had 13 telescopes in array, but this went down to 12 as one was unreliable. Playback test in morning gave quite high parity error rates, but tracks were decoded within about 20 microns of expected positions.

Onsala (A. Polatidis at Fri May 28 11:51:15 METDST 1999) Success
Some RFI in the band but not in the recorded frequencies. We recorded only the first two lines, since we only have 4 0.5 MHz filters. High parity errors, but we are working on that to solve this problem.

Onsala (A. Polatidis at Fri May 28 11:51:21 METDST 1999) Success
Some RFI in the band but not in the recorded frequencies. We recorded only the first two lines, since we only have 4 0.5 MHz filters. High parity errors, but we are working on that to solve this problem.

Westerbork (Tony Foley at Fri May 28 11:52:52 METDST 1999) Minor failures
EMI, paricularly about 3UT and 5UT. At start of observations had 13 telescopes in array, but this went down to 12 as one was unreliable. Playback test in morning gave quite high parity error rates, but tracks were decoded within about 20 microns of expected positions.

Cambridge (D.McKay at Fri May 28 14:36:10 METDST 1999) Minor failures
Due to limitation of microwave link, signal is only expected in BBC01 and BBC02.

Medicina (orfei at Sat May 29 01:06:37 METDST 1999) Success
A note for the PI: Medicina has 0.5MHz filters in the first 6 VCs, so the signal will be zero in VC07 and VC08. Further these last were set to 425 MHz that gives 1720MHz as sky frequency: this value is outside the Medicina L band. Both of these constarints are in the EVN status table!

Noto (C.Trigilio at Mon May 31 16:46:47 METDST 1999) Success
No problems reported. Note that 1720MHz is out of the L band of the Noto receiver, so no signal in bbc07 and bbc08.

Jodrell (Alastair Gunn at Tue Jun 1 15:51:59 METDST 1999) Minor failures
Brief power cut at approximately 01:05 UT resulted in LO loss, restore within 5-10 minutes. Electrical storm from 23:00 to 01:00 UT. No other known problems.

Westerbork (Tony Foley at Fri Jun 11 13:37:11 METDST 1999) Minor failures
Barry Clark noticed that vc03 was not set for one of the setups ("ChangeOfFreq#04" in SKD file).

Calibration (Jean\-Francois Desmurs at Fri Jun 18 19:31:34 METDST 1999) Success
