Experiment Feedback

Medicina (brand at Sun May 30 15:10:45 METDST 1999) Success
All went well.

Torun (K. Borkowski at Sun May 30 15:48:46 METDST 1999) Success
No known problems.

Onsala (A. Polatidis at Sun May 30 17:10:52 METDST 1999) Success
No problems with the observation. The parity errors are significantly improved but not yet perfect. It seems that the recontouring has helped a little. Slightly overcast weather but no wind.

Urumqi (Liu Xiang at Mon May 31 06:56:00 METDST 1999) Minor failures
It was cloudy. There were interferences in the L-band. The dual- polarization of receiver worked, the Tsys(83k) is normal, efficiency (57%) is also normal in LCP. But the Tsys(150k or more) is abnormal, it should be 110k in RCP, also the Cal-temp could be half of 29k, i.e. 29k-injet-noise temp is not correct for RCP. No other known problem.

Westerbork (Tony Foley at Mon May 31 16:00:00 METDST 1999) Success
Used tied array with 12 telescopes. No known problems.

Noto (C.Trigilio at Mon May 31 17:01:07 METDST 1999) Minor failures
The previous schedule ended with the tape to be rewind. Needed 15 extra minuts to rewind the tape. Short time to switch field system from VLBA to MK3 mode. Computer crash during switch. => First two scan lost. BBC01 reset at 10:40; BBC12 reset at 10:55 UT. No more problem from 10:55 UT.

Effelsberg (A. Kraus at Tue Jun 1 09:45:29 METDST 1999) Minor failures
For three scans the FS reported problems with the tape head positioning.

Jodrell (Alastair Gunn at Tue Jun 1 15:58:22 METDST 1999) Success
No known problems.

Cambridge (Alastair Gunn at Tue Jun 1 15:59:27 METDST 1999) Success
No known problems.

Calibration (Jean\-Francois Desmurs at Fri Jun 18 19:33:59 METDST 1999) Success
