Experiment Feedback

Torun (G. Hrynek at Fri May 30 07:49:33 2003) Success :
The recording on the second tape was 1 minute late, due to the problems with unloading the first tape - there was a postpass in the schedule, and only 15 minutes for tape change. We have had interrupt the postpass, but there wasn't enough time to mount the second tape on time.

Onsala (Michael Lindqvist at Fri May 30 08:08:31 2003) Success :
No known problems.

Medicina (fiocchi at Fri May 30 08:31:39 2003) Success :
No problems

Noto (P. Cassaro at Fri May 30 09:31:30 2003) Minor failures : RECO RFI
RFI in band From 0:55 to 1:18 UT lost due to vacuum problems From the begin of the second tape until 4:17 UT lost due to vacuum problems

Effelsberg (A. Kraus at Fri May 30 10:43:18 2003) Minor failures : RFI

Jodrell_Bank (Alastair Gunn at Sun Jun 1 14:21:16 2003) Failure :
Due to date error in the MERLIN schedule, telescope stayed on j1832+13 from 23:57 until end of schedule. This was not noticed by the operator. Other problems occuring after 00:00 UT are therefore irrelevant. There was a postpass after the first tape!

Cambridge (Alastair Gunn at Sun Jun 1 14:22:08 2003) Failure :
Due to date error in the MERLIN schedule, telescope stayed on j1832+13 from 23:57 until end of schedule. This was not noticed by the operator. Other problems occuring after 00:00 UT are therefore irrelevant. There was a postpass after the first tape!

Hartebeesthoek (Jonathan Quick at Tue Jun 3 12:37:05 2003) Minor failures : RECO
Tape reel loaded skew, may have affected first pass. No data loss during mis-scheduled post-pass of first tape (manual override.)

Greenbank (Z.P. for Frank Ghigo at Mon Jul 7 08:59:32 2003) Minor failures : LATE
We started a little late, and were first on source at 03:59:45 UT. There was a problem with the emergency stop, which caused a loss of time from 08:45 to 10:41 UT. The last two scans, following 13:38 UT, were lost because part of the scan would have been below the horizon. Note that the "onsource" indication was erroneously showing the telescope was off-source from 10:41 to 12:06 UT, although it was on source during those times. The phase cal was not working until about 13:00 UT. We are not sure why.

Westerbork (foley at Mon Jul 7 15:30:09 2003) Minor failures : FS
During the tape change the FS tried to postpass the tape. There was insufficient time so time was lost from 03:50 to 04:48 restarting the tape in sync.
