Experiment Feedback

Shanghai (Huang Xinyong at Tue May 23 11:57:17 METDST 2000) Success

Torun (K.Borkowski at Tue May 23 12:05:08 METDST 2000) Success
No known problems.

Onsala (A. Polatidis at Tue May 23 12:23:26 METDST 2000) Success
SEFD: LCP=360Jy RCP=612Jy GPs-maser=8.17 - more accurate value in VLBEER

Effelsberg (A. Kraus at Tue May 23 12:36:30 METDST 2000) Minor failures
The first scan started 90secs late.

Westerbork (Tony Foley at Tue May 23 13:15:06 METDST 2000) Minor failures
Tied array with 13 telescopes. SEFD around 35Jy Polarization purity maybe poor; only a very quick check possible

Noto (C.Trigilio at Tue May 23 18:07:06 METDST 2000) Success
No known problems. SEFD around 900 Jy at el=55. GPS -7.43 usec at start. Tape sent at the end of experiment.

JIVE (Lorant Sjouwerman at Fri May 26 17:15:52 METDST 2000) Success
Fringes to all stations: Wb, Jb, Tr, On, Ef, Nt (still waiting for Sh, Ur?).
We checked fringe amplitudes, phase rates and playback for all subbands;
amplitudes are as expected, rates well behaved and playback very good on all tracks (thanks Tr for fixing track #6!).
Clocks and rates with respect to Ef (MkIV terminal), 2000y144d09h00m00s
Eb: 5.028 usec, 1.70e-06 us/s
Jb2: -4.335 usec, -1.18e-07 us/s
Wb: 19.803 usec, 2.84e-08 us/s
On85: 9.604 usec, -9.75e-07 us/s
Nt: -8.038 usec, -1.73e-06 us/s
Tr: 0.862 usec, 7.70e-07 us/s
Thanks to the folks of the JIVE correlator group for flexible correlator time allocation, operation and the nice software for fringe diagnostics.

Jodrell_Bank (Alastair Gunn at Mon Jun 5 12:22:40 METDST 2000) Success
Receiver performance less than ideal - seems prone to 1671 MHz RFI especially on LCP. Very approximate tcal estimates for 1658 MHz.
